How does it change from a tote to a carrier?
Unzip the side and fold the panel down, then fit your chosen removable lining.
To turn it back into a tote, take the lining out, tidy away any stray hairs and zip the side closed.
Will my dog fit?
Mia Mor is designed for small dogs weighing up to 8 kg.
The bag measures 45 cm high × 35 cm wide × 20 cm deep. As every little dog is different, we recommend checking your dog’s measurements and making sure they have enough room to sit and settle comfortably.
It’s not just about weight — it’s about finding the right fit for your little companion.
Is the bag ventilated?
Absolutely. In carrier mode, the entire top and fold-down side remain open, allowing plenty of natural airflow and giving your dog a lovely view of the world.
It’s an open-air carrier, not an enclosed travel crate. As always, supervise your dog and avoid carrying them in excessively hot conditions.
Won’t dog hair get all over my handbag?
We thought of that!
Mia Mor comes with two removable, washable linings — one for summer and a cosy one for winter.
The smooth, silky lining is designed to help prevent loose fur from clinging, making it easier to remove. When it’s time to use your bag as an everyday tote, simply remove the lining, tidy away any stray hairs and zip the side closed.

Will carrying my dog encourage separation anxiety?
No, carrying your dog in a handbag doesn’t, by itself, create separation anxiety.
A dog’s temperament, experiences and daily routines all play a role in how comfortably they cope with being apart from their owners.
Mia Mor isn’t about taking your dog everywhere or replacing their independence. It’s simply about enjoying more of life’s little outings together, when it suits you both.
Is it cruel to carry a dog in a handbag?
Not when the carrier suits the dog and is used thoughtfully.
Some little dogs enjoy being carried, especially when their legs are tired or they’re accompanying you somewhere with lots of people.
Mia Mor has a structured base, removable padded linings and an open top and side, giving your dog a place to rest while staying close to you.
Introduce the bag gently, let your dog become familiar with it and always pay attention to their comfort. Walks, exercise and opportunities to explore are still essential.
Will it be uncomfortable on my shoulder?
We’ve thought about your comfort, too.
Mia Mor includes a specially designed shoulder guard that brings the two carrying straps together, helping make the bag more comfortable to carry.
Of course, carrying comfort depends on your dog’s weight and how long you’re carrying them. We recommend taking regular breaks, just as you would with any shoulder bag.
Can I carry my laptop and my dog at the same time?
Mia Mor has a dedicated padded laptop pocket for everyday tote mode.
However, we don’t recommend carrying your laptop and your dog together. Your dog’s comfort and available space come first.
That’s the beauty of having two bags in one — each mode is designed for a different part of your day.
How do I clean and care for my Mia Mor bag?
Beautiful things should be practical, too.
The coated exterior can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Both seasonal linings are removable and machine washable. Simply wash on a cool, delicate cycle and line dry.
With a little everyday care, your Mia Mor bag is designed to accompany you on many lovely adventures.

I created Mia Mor because I couldn’t find a dog bag that felt like me. Everything was either too bulky, too plastic, or too obviously a pet carrier. I wanted something I’d actually be proud to carry — something that looked beautiful whether or not my dog was inside it.
Mia inspired every decision. This bag was made for women who love their dogs deeply and want to move through the world with them, beautifully.
